Sukhbir Singh Badal has been re-elected as the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). “May Badal firmly guard the rights of the Panth and Punjab and make Punjab prosperous again,” SAD wrote on X. Notably, Badal resigned from his post of the SAD President in November 2024 after being declared ‘tankhaiya’ (guilty of religious misconduct) by the Akal Takht.
